The Cost of Health Care in New Zealand
Healthcare in New Zealand is a mixture of free and subsidised services, where patients pay a fee to cover some of the costs of providing healthcare services.
Free and subsidised care is only available to New Zealand residents, with exceptions in some cases for visitors from countries like the UK and Australia where New Zealand have reciprocal agreements. Ask our reception team if you think you may be entitled to a funded service for your visit or have any other questions on our fees.

Under 14 years 15 minutes with nurse and 15 minutes with doctor Free
14 – 17 years 15 minutes with nurse and 30 mins with doctor - $52.00 : $26.00 with CSC
18 – 24 years 15 minutes with nurse and 30 minutes with doctor - $62.00: $39.00 with CSC
25 - 64 years 15 minutes with nurse and 30 minutes with doctor - $62.00: $39.00 with CSC
65 years and over 15 minutes with nurse and 30 minutes with doctor - $62.00: $39.00 with CSC

General Fees list:
Repeat Prescription $25.00 for 14-17 years of age and $30.00 for 18 years and over. Urgent same day request may incur a $5.00 urgent fee.

Maternity Visits in first Trimester. No Charge for NZ residents. However All non NZ residents do not qualify for maternity subsidy and will be charged full consultation costs.
Minor Surgery / Punch Biopsies Does not include any sutures an additonal $27-31.00 each

Home Visit - First 30 minutes $185.00 plus $58.50 for each additional 10 minutes plus 0.80c or minimum $20.00 mileage per visit.
